Reducing Your Carbon Footprint With Insulation

Insulating your home is an effective way to not only save on your energy bills but to also reduce your carbon footprint and subsequently, the greenhouse gases that are emitted as a result of daily activities. Insulating your home can also reduce your energy consumption helping keep warm air inside during the winter and cool air inside during the summer. As a result, insulation has long-lasting, year-round benefits, helping you consume considerably less energy to both heat and cool your home throughout the year.

Insulating your home is a cost-effective way to reduce your carbon footprint and save energy making a positive impact on the environment and your wallet.

Environmentally Friendly Materials

We use EPS beads and Knauf insulation for wall and loft insulation respectively.

Many are surprised to learn that EPS beads are an environmentally friendly choice for cavity wall insulation. As an incredibly lightweight choice, they require significantly less energy to transport to their destination. As a non-toxic material and one which requires fewer raw materials to produce, being made from 98% air, it is a safe, durable and high-quality material and an environmentally friendly choice.

Our preferred manufacturer and supplier of loft insulation is the market leader, Knauf Insulation. By using up to 80% recycled materials to produce their glass mineral wool insulation, Knauf minimises the need for mineral raw materials. Knauf insulation not only uses recycled materials but also uses compression packaging, allowing for more product to be transported and leading to less packaging being used. As such, this requires less storage space and fewer CO2 emissions in transporting the required insulation to our customers.
