Terms & Conditions: Insulation

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS 2021

IGNITE INSULATION LIMITED of:

(hereafter the "Company")

SERVICES

The Company offers a loft and cavity wall insulation installation and extraction service. We use our best abilities to help ensure insulate the property fully and/or fully remove the existing insulation 

The following Services will be provided if selected;

The company will survey the property for it’s suitability of insulation. This survey will be conducted within the relevant IAA/KIWA/OSCAR guidelines and will require drilling into the external walls.

The company will install the necessary insulation as outlined in the insulation survey and quote.  

The company will provide a full written report documenting findings as well as proof by way of images where possible. 

(If selected) the company will carry out the removal and disposal of cavity wall and/or loft insulation. Documenting completion by way of a report and images where possible. This work is subject to Technical Monitoring by OSCAR Onsite. A Clearance Certificate will be issued to the customer on completion of the works. 

The service to be provided is the installation and/or removal of cavity wall insulation and/or loft insulation. We take no responsibility for other areas of the property or works.

The company will make themselves available for questions and queries regarding the written report and installation following the customers receipt if required. 

The company is liable for the work carried out by it’s employees or sub-contractors, the individual themselves are not liable.

The company can not take any responsibility for any damages that occur after the company has left the property. 

The written report and survey conducted by the company is produced solely for use by the client. The company has no responsibility to a third party that has accessed the report or service. 

Each installation provided by the company will be backed up by a guarantee inline with industry standards provided through a third party at the discretion of the company. 

Each installation provided by the company will be carried out to the required specification as dictated by the IAA, KIWA, OSCAR Onsite or the product manufacturer. These will be outlined to the client prior to works taking place. 

The companies operatives are required to take images of their work before, during and after, which are the intellectual property of the company and will remain so. 

The operatives are legally required to assess the ventilation requirements for a property, it may be necessary to install additional ventilation when adding insulation. 

Further details of the installation process will be provided prior to works being undertaken and are available upon request. 

ASSUMPTIONS

The company will make the following assumptions unless otherwise states:

The property has working mains services including Water, Gas, Electricity and Drainage.

The property is structurally sound and that there are no issues that may effect the works being undertaken that we have not been made aware of. 

The client has the appropriate authority to arrange the survey and installation and to arrange necessary access to the property.

The client has arranged necessary access onto a third-parties property where required and advised. 

The property is a residential property and will only be used as such.

LOCATION

Receipt of the Company’s email confirmation to your provided email address is an agreement of the location, date, time, price and terms and conditions. Any changes must be given via email latest 48 hours before the works take place. 

The final written report, guarantees and receipt will be provided to the clients email address once the final invoice has been settled. 

FEES AND PAYMENTS

50% of the total payable amount should be made upon receipt of the invoice to confirm the installation time and date. The scheduled appointment will be cancelled automatically if invoice is not paid 48 hours before the booked time. Online payments will be made through Stripe, who will have access to your details to enable them to take and process the payment. 

If the employee is unable to gain access to the property on the day of the agreed works, then no refund will be allowed.

If the property is unsuitable for the scheduled works due to health and safety reasons, then no refund will be allowed.

Cancellations within 24 hours of the booked time are non-refundable under any circumstances.

CLIENT'S OBLIGATIONS

If you are not satisfied with any aspect of our services, then please let us know before we release the report and before we leave site to you and we will try our best to make it right. No refund will be allowed once the work has been carried out and our operatives have left site. 

It is the clients responsibility to read through any documentation sent prior to the works being carried out to ensure they are satisfied with the planned works and methods. Any concerns or changes to the planned works, must be notified to the company a minimum of 48 hours prior to the arranged date of works. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Our installers and surveyors have been trained and certified by the manufacturers of the product, EvoBead. Our installers have the necessary certification and training to carry out insulation works, including but not limited to; ACOPS certification, KIWA certification, BBA sign-off, IAA sign-off, and working at height training. 

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Personal and payment information may be processed by a third-party company. This is purely in the interests of customer data protection. The current payment client used is Stripe.

The Company is registered with the ICO for the processing of personal data. The registration number is 17302799.

If a sub-contractor is required to fulfil your contract, necessary personal information may be shared with them. 

LIABILITY

The Company offers a loft insulation and cavity wall insulation installation and extraction service. We use our best abilities to help ensure the property is well insulated or all insulation has been removed. 

The Company holds Public Liability (up to £5,000,000) and Employer Liability insurances (Up to £10,000,000). Copies of the policy cover notes are available upon request.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION

In the event you are not satisfied with any part of the service, you must write to us at Ignite Insulation Limited, Unit 6, Brickfield Trading Estate, Brickfield Lane, Chandlers Ford, Hampshire, SO53 4DR, alternatively, send us an email to [email protected]. The Company will provide you with a detailed response within 14 days of receipt. As per the Liability Clause, no liability will be accepted by the Company for any defects/issues missed or misrepresented, as well as liability for being denied entry at site.
